Magee Womancare International:

The Full Circle Program

Culturally & Linguistically Competent Breast Health Navigation, Mammogram Support, & Reminder System.

The Full Circle Program will target minority, immigrant, and refugee women in the Greater Pittsburgh Area who statistically are least likely to receive breast cancer early detection services.

The Full Circle Program will

  1. facilitate 12 group mammogram sessions between July 1 2016 and June 30th 2017 with free transportation and interpretation services,
  2. provide culturally tailored patient navigation prior to and after group mammogram sessions, and
  3. enroll patients in Magee Womens Hospital of UPMC’s annual Mammogram reminder system to ensure women schedule and attend their next annual mammogram.

We aim to provide 300 women with a Mammogram screening, ensure 100% compliance among those patients requiring further diagnostic screenings or cancer treatment, and ensure that 100% of Full Circle patients schedule and return for their next annual mammogram. Our Full Circle Program will not only increase breast cancer screening rates among hard to reach populations of Pittsburgh, it will also help spread awareness of breast cancer screening recommendations and the importance of early detection.

*The Full Circle Program is made possible through a grant from Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh.
