Magee-Womens Research Institute and the University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences is seeking an outstanding scientist in the field of reproductive genetics/genomics.
We seek exceptional applicants with a PhD, MD, or equivalent degrees who are actively engaged in a cutting-edge, competitive, basic and/or translational research program in the field of genetics/genomics. We target those who are interested in reproduction, early human development or prenatal biology, with possible application to diagnostics, therapeutics, and personalized medicine. Applicants should demonstrate outstanding academic research productivity, and an excellent past or promising funding track record. Applications from candidates utilizing animal models, advanced genomic technologies or computational tools are highly encouraged. We value applicants who may benefit from our active programs in prenatal genetics, cytogenetics, cancer genetics, our medical school’s programs in adult genetics, informatics and precision medicine and our Graduate School of Public Health’s program in human genetics.
