For Women For Girls
IVF / Embryo Freezing

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)/Embryo Freezing is a procedure where a woman’s eggs (oocytes) are fertilized with sperm outside of the body. The embryos are then frozen until pregnancy is desired. When a couple decides to start their family, the embryos are placed back into the woman’s uterus.

Gonadopexy

Gonadopexy is a procedure which involves surgically moving the gonads (ovaries or testicles) out of the pelvis in women or men receiving pelvic radiation therapy.

Ovarian Tissue Freezing

Ovarian Tissue Freezing is an experimental procedure where a woman or child’s ovarian tissue is harvested and frozen, with the ultimate goal that their tissue is re-transplanted remote from cancer therapy to restore hormonal production and fertility. There are specific criteria that would deem a woman or child eligible for this fertility preservation technique.

Egg Freezing

Egg Freezing or oocyte cryopreservation is a procedure where a woman’s eggs (oocytes) are retrieved and frozen until pregnancy is desired. When a woman decides to pursue pregnancy, the eggs are fertilized outside of the body (IVF), and embryos are transferred back into the uterus.

For Men For Boys
Sperm Cryopreservation

Sperm Cryopreservation gives men the option to freeze and store their sperm prior to being exposed to chemotherapy. Because the short term effects of chemotherapy on sperm are not well understood, we also offer this technique, in collaboration with the Institutional Review Board, to men who have recently been exposed to chemotherapy.

Our Sperm Cryopreservation Study

Testicular Tissue Freezing

Testicular Tissue Freezing is an experimental procedure where a young boy’s testicular tissue is retrieved and frozen. This technique is reserved for young male patients who are not yet producing mature sperm, with the ultimate goal that their tissue may be used in the future to restore fertility when experimental techniques emerge from the research pipeline.

Our Testicular Tissue Freezing Study

Testicular Sperm Extraction (TESE)

Testicular Sperm Extraction (TESE) is a procedure where rare sperm are recovered from the testes of men who cannot produce sperm by ejaculation due to clinical infertility.
