Rylee Horwatt was born at only 27 weeks. She weighed 1 pound, 8 ounces and she was 13 1/2 inches long. She spent 75 days in Magee’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Because of her resilient spirit, the clinical excellence at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, and research discoveries at Magee-Womens Research Institute, Rylee is a healthy and thriving three-year-old today.

To show her appreciation, Rylee’s mother, Jessica, made a donation to the United Way through her employer.

You can help other premature infants grow up to be healthy like Rylee. Your United Way contribution will have a direct impact on Magee’s patient care and groundbreaking medical research.
