Calling all UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital and UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh NICU graduates — you're in for a wild time at the 22nd Annual Kids & Critters NICU Reunion on Sunday, June 29, 2025.
Event Details
Date: Sunday, June 29, 2025 (Rain or Shine)
Time: 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.
Where: Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium (Check in at the Garden Tent, across from the Carousel)
With the largest NICU in Pennsylvania, the highly trained team at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital cares for more than 2,000 premature newborns annually across the tri-state area. Proceeds will benefit NICU family initiatives at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital.
This Level IV NICU at UPMC Children's has a 55-bed combined medical-surgical unit that provides breathtaking views of the Pittsburgh Skyline. The unit also provides staff with the appropriate space and technology designed to care for newborns with the most complex surgical and medical conditions, including those infants requiring neonatal extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
Admission Information
IMPORTANT UPDATE! The Zoo entrance gate will be under construction this summer. Admission bracelets and T-shirts will not be mailed ahead of the event. All orders can be picked up at the Magee-Womens tent outside of the gate entrance at the Zoo on event day.
Should you like to pick up your shirts and wristbands ahead of the event, we will have two pick up dates to choose from. PLEASE CALL US AT 412-641-8950 OR EMAIL EVENTS@MAGEEWOMENS.ORG TO ARRANGE PICK UP.
Pick up will be at our office, Magee-Womens Research Institute – 204 Craft Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
- Wednesday, June 11 from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 18 from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Event Day (For those that did not previously pick up their T-shirts and wristbands):
1. When you arrive at the Zoo, look for the Magee-Womens signs at our tents outside of the entrance gate. NOTE: The tent area will only be manned until 12:00 p.m. on event day.
2. Show the Magee-Womens Team your email order receipt and they will get your wristbands, T-shirt orders, and zoo bucks.
3. The Magee-Womens Team will provide instructions on how to enter the Zoo.
Zoo Member Admission (The same process as in past years):
1. When you arrive at the Zoo, look for the Magee-Womens signs at our tents outside of the entrance gate.
2. Show the Magee-Womens Team your email order receipt and they will get your t-shirt order and zoo bucks.
3. Enter the zoo the same way you do on a regular visit.

Ticket Information:
Tickets are $25 per person. If you are an active member of the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium, you must purchase a $10 "zoo pass" for the event, for each member of your party. Admission is free for children under 2 years old. Each attendee will receive $8.00 in Zoo Bucks that can be picked up at the Garden Tent on event day.
Event Day Information:
Your admission includes access to the Zoo from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Activities begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Garden Tent, which includes our annual raffle, crafts, live music, meeting zoo animals, face painting, Mr. Wu’s Shaved Ice, and gifts for the children. We'll gather at 12:30 p.m. for the annual group photo at the Garden Tent entrance.
T-shirt Information:
Admission bracelets and t-shirts will not be mailed ahead of the event.
T-shirts and onesies are $13. All T-shirt orders will be available for pick up on Wednesday, June 11 & 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at our office (204 Craft Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213).
On event day, T-shirt orders can be picked up from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the zoo entrance, Magee tent.
