Event Details
Date: Sunday, June 28, 2026 (Rain or Shine)
Time: 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.
Where: Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium | 7370 Baker Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15206
With the largest NICU in Pennsylvania, the highly trained team at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital cares for more than 2,000 premature newborns annually across the tri-state area. Proceeds will benefit NICU family initiatives at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital.
This Level IV NICU at UPMC Children's has a 55-bed combined medical-surgical unit that provides breathtaking views of the Pittsburgh Skyline. The unit also provides staff with the appropriate space and technology designed to care for newborns with the most complex surgical and medical conditions, including those infants requiring neonatal extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
To make your arrival as smooth as possible, please follow these entry steps:
1. Park at 7370 Baker Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Parking at the zoo is complimentary.
2. Find the Group Entry booth located on the Zoo admission plaza.
3. Provide the event name (Kids and Critters NICU Reunion) and ticket purchasers name to the gate entry staff. You may be asked to show your email confirmation receipt.
4. You will receive a color‑coded wristband that grants admission to the Zoo for the full day.
Once you have your wristband, proceed up the escalators or elevators and enjoy your visit! All event activities are taking place at the Garden Tent, up the path across from the Carousel.
Zoo Members: Enter the zoo the same way you do on a regular visit. You may be asked to show your email confirmation receipt at the Garden Tent when you pick up your zoo bucks and t-shirts.
Ticket and Admission Information
Tickets are $25 per person.

If you are an active member of the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium, you must purchase a $10 "zoo pass" for the event, for each member of your party. Admission is free for children under 2 years old. Each attendee will receive $6.00 in Zoo Bucks that can be picked up at the Garden Tent on event day.
Your admission includes access to the Zoo from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Activities begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Garden Tent, which includes our annual raffle, crafts, live music, meeting zoo animals, face painting, Mr. Wu’s Shaved Ice, and gifts for the children. We'll gather at 12:30 p.m. for the annual group photo at the Garden Tent entrance.
T-Shirt Information

T-Shirts and Onesies are $16.

We’re excited to share that this year’s event T‑shirts are printed on a higher‑quality, more durable fabric for a better fit and feel. To support this upgrade, the price of our shirts has increased slightly. We appreciate your understanding and hope you love the improved comfort and quality as much as we do!
