Research in Brief
Dr. Jašarević's research delves into how the microorganisms in our bodies, particularly in the gut, influence reproductive health. By understanding the relationship between diet, microbiota, and fertility, his work aims to develop personalized interventions to improve reproductive outcomes.
Current Projects
- Investigating the impact of microbial-derived metabolites, such as butyrate, on neural circuits regulating reproductive tissues.
- Exploring how the absence of microbiota during critical developmental windows affects reproductive capacity.
- Studying the epigenetic regulation of immune responses by microbial metabolites, focusing on histone post-translational modifications.
