We are taking a comprehensive systems biology approach to discover how each breast cancer patient can receive treatments and therapies targeted to their specific biology and disease.
Adrian Lee, PhD
Research in Brief
The Lee-Oesterreich lab studies the molecular basis of breast cancer development and resistance to therapy, with the goal to improve precision medicine and outcomes for breast cancer patients. We employ a systems biology approach, utilizing a combination of single cell, spatial and bulk sequencing, novel computational biology approaches, and new biological models to identify and validate drivers and therapeutic targets.
Most studies incorporate analysis of human specimens (such as from our Hope for OTHERS post-mortem autopsy program), in collaboration with a large network of clinicians. This includes computational analysis and modeling of large biomedical and genomic datasets including EHR data.
