Founded in 1992, Magee-Womens Research Institute became the first research institute in the United States dedicated to women's health and reproductive biology. Thirty years later, MWRI has a collaborative community of 380+ top-tier researchers, physician-scientists, and clinicians, as well as 319 active studies spanning 292 different conditions with 162,000 clinical trial participants around the world.

Proceeds from Women Who Rock™ events, such as the annual Benefit Concert at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, directly support the lifesaving research and patient care initiatives at Magee-Womens Research Institute and UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital.
